My Favorite Artists

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite artists with you! They're ones whose art I really love, but also ones who inspire me. Some are recent artists and others are ones from the past.

Korin Faught

She's a recent artist who makes portrait paintings. Faught's work is very detailed and beautiful, and I love that her work resembles the style of older artists, even though she is around now. I'm not someone who makes portraits myself, however I did use her work as inspiration in my own pieces based on the way her paintings are put together and the details she uses.

Claude Monet

Monet is a huge part of the Impressionism movement and was around in the 19th/20th centuries. I love Impressionism as a whole, but especially his. I love the landscapes that Monet creates because those are some of my favorite types of paintings. I also just love the look of Impressionist paintings where you can make out what it is, but it still has that fuzzy/unfocused type look.

Thomas Cole

He was part of the Hudson River School in America making landscape paintings. Cole was around in the 19th century. I love the landscapes he creates, they're so detailed. And as I already mentioned, landscapes are some of my favorite types of art. His are very detailed and beautiful to look at. I've made landscapes myself, but I'd like to try and make them more detailed like his.

Rin (DrawingWiffWaffles)

She's an art youtuber who I discovered recently and I love her work. She makes character art a lot. I love being able to see how Rin creates her work and all the details that she adds. I'd love to try making character art like her someday.

And there's all my favorite artists! I hope you enjoyed and please let me know your favorite artists in the comments section.

I'll be back next week with some artwork!
