Teen Titans: Raven Graphic Novel Review

Teen Titans: Raven is a graphic novel by Kami Garcia and illustrated by Gabriel Picolo. It's the origin story of Raven from Teen Titans that starts with Raven surviving a terrible accident that takes her step mom. She then ends up living with her foster mom's sister and niece. After she moves in with her new family, weird things are happening to her and she's trying to figure out what's going on.

I thought this was a great graphic novel. I've been a fan of Teen Titans for a while, but have only seen the TV shows, I've never read the comics. Raven was always a favorite of mine and I didn't know much of her origin, so I thought this was a great way to introduce her character.

The artwork in this book was really beautiful. I loved the color scheme, which was mostly muted tones of purple, black and white. It was very fitting to the character and also really pleasing to the eye. The characters were drawn really well and I loved the layout of the pages.

It was a quick read that I very much enjoyed. Artwork, story and characters worked very well together and there was never a dull moment. I really enjoy graphic novels and wish I could read more of them, so this was a great find.

This is also the first book in a series that will introduce all the main character's origin stories from Teen Titans. While my favorite character is Raven, I definitely think I will check out the other books as they come out too.

I hope you enjoyed my review!
