The Cormoran Strike Series is one of my favorite series I've read. They're surrounding a private detective named Cormoran Strike and a woman named Robin who works with him. Each book has a new mystery for them to solve. I've always loved mysteries so I've really enjoyed this series because of that. I also really love the characters and how they interact with one another. Whenever I read these I'm speeding through them because I can't wait to see how it all works out. I just really love this series haha.
So today, I made some artwork inspired by the books, specifically by the character Robin. I mentioned a while back that I wanted to try and do more character art, so I decided to draw Robin.
For this piece, I decided to draw Robin on a stakeout and she's taking pictures of something. They have those scenes often in the books, so I decided to use that as inspiration for this. My process for making this was to start first by outlining everything. Then I went in with ink and colored pencil to finish the piece.
I'm very happy with it overall. Like I said before, I don't make a lot of character art, but I really enjoyed having something new to create.
