Back in August, I made a graphic design portfolio for my new designs I had created. I'd been doing traditional art for a very long time, but just learned graphic design last year and made a portfolio for that. But I figured now was the time to create one for my traditional art as well. I have a lot of favorite pieces I've made over the years, so now I'm going to share some with you that I've added to my new traditional art portfolio!
The 'White Cat' piece is something I created a little more than a year ago. It's a ceramic piece, which I used some new techniques with. The first one was creating it in a bowl. I used the bowl to make the overall shape and then I worked separately on the inside to create the cat in the bowl. I also used a different glaze than I usually would. Normally I would use colors, but with this one I wanted to try white and it gives it a bit of a shine as well.
'The Journey Home' is a comic I created about the same time as the ceramic piece I just mentioned. This is page 2 from a 12-page comic. It centers around these alien cats who come to Earth and one comes into contact with a human. The cat and human start to bond and the story continues from there. I created this comic with ink.
The 'Leopard Sitting' piece is one I made longer ago, but it's still a huge favorite of mine. This is part of a collection of pieces I did of leopards specifically. This one is a more simple design, and it's in a sitting position. It was a more difficult ceramic piece to work on, but I think it turned out so great, which is why I love it so much. I also love cats a lot haha. I think you can tell from the fact that all my favorite pieces have to do with cats haha.
