Frankenstein Manga Review

Rcently I found this manga version of Frankenstein by Junji Ito. I've never read his work before now, but I love the original Frankenstein story and manga so I figured I would check it out.

The story itself is a bit different from the original, it's this author's take on that story. It still had the main points the original story had, just other details were changed. This story finds Victor Frankenstein in college learning about science and experimenting. This is what eventually leads him to creating the monster. Again, some of the other details were changed, but I won't mention them here since they would give away more of the story and what happens. I really enjoyed it all though, especially the artwork.

I added a few pictures of the artwork from the manga so you can see it yourself. I really enjoyed it, it's very dark to match the story. I loved the design of the monster and the characters. The cover I especially love. The colors and the design are just perfect.

Overall, I really enjoyed the art and the story. I would definitely recommend reading this book. I'm going to be checking out some more of Junji Ito's work as well, so I might discuss that on here in the future too.

I hope you enjoyed! I'll be back soon with another post.
